Restaurants across the metro area are putting up tables and spacing them out in anticipation of being able to partially reopen outdoor dining space per the latest round of loosening restrictions amid the pandemic. Seating will require reservations and be done at a diminished capacity. Social distancing will be enforced, and masks will be required for workers, Minneapolis diners, but not required in St. Paul. Minneapolis has also changed some zoning rules to allow restaurants to reclaim some outdoor space, like parking lots and valet stands. Today, Mayor Melvin Carter and the St. Paul city council are expected to address zoning concerns in the city.
As the date nears, and the restrictions ease, this list is likely to change and grow. For updates, email minneapolis@eater.com.
These are the patios expected to open next week.
