Bar La Grassa, 112 Eatery, and Snack Bar will re-open for takeout service before the end of April. When James Beard Award winning chef Isaac Becker and Nancy St. Pierre announced they would close Burch Steak and Pizza in Minneapolis, fans worried that the couple’s other restaurant’s might find a similar fate. There was enough scuttlebutt that the two made a statement assuring fans that the other restaurants would return, and yesterday they finally shared plans for the beloved eateries return.
Bar La Grassa, with its bruschetta, St. Louis ribs, and orange cauliflower gnocchi, will begin takeout service on April 21. Online ordering will become available.
Their first restaurant 112 Eatery, which originally opened in 2005 in the Warehouse District, will once again serve those foie gras meatballs and the famously rich burger topped with brie, on April 29.
Snack Bar, the newest of their eateries, that opened just months before the pandemic hit, will open in the North Loop on April 28.
All three will be open for dinner only takeout Tuesday through Saturday.
Becker and St. Pierre closed their restaurants on March 17 when Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz ordered all restaurants and bars to close as gathering spaces. While some businesses chose to switch to a takeout model, these restaurants all remained dark, until now.
