This Italian haven in South Minneapolis specializes in made-in-house pasta. The main room is boisterous most nights. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday until 11:30 p.m. and Saturday until 12:30 a.m.

The lights stay on until midnight and this gorgeous, vintage diner car on East Lake Street. Hi-Tops are kind of a hole-less doughnut situation served with all manner of sweet/savory toppings like fried chicken, gravy and a decent dose of maple syrup. There are malts and coffee for the well behaved and stiff cocktails for the wicked among us.

This hip, bourbon-stocked Lowertown restaurant is the work of Justin Sutherland and a must for meat lovers who dig a Southern flair. Late night happy hour has a scaled-down menu featuring Frito pie, hushpuppies, cheap drinks and more and is available Monday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.
