But where does one get away from family find such culinary delights on Christmas Day, without spending another eight hours at the stove? There are plenty of restaurants around the metro that serve as respite from the kitchen, even on December 25.

Wayzata is so lovely this time of year, with snow gathering on the lake and lights twinkling everywhere. The sprawling restaurant in Wayzata’s Hotel Landing will be serving its regular menu on Christmas Day. 

The Bloomington restaurant has earned a stellar reputation for its weekend Not Your Basic Brunch Buffet. Christmas Day lands on a Wednesday this year, but Lela will be offering the brunch buffet regardless. Sleeping in? Lela’s dinner service starts at 5:00 p.m.
