Dusty's Bar

The bar remained untouched by time. The stools are worn to a comfortable patina and the back of the room still sports a telephone booth. The cash register dates back to a time before color television and the drink prices haven't moved much in years. Dusty's Dagos also serves the Italian sandwiches for which it's named, a tidy Italian sausage patty topped with caramelized onions and bell peppers covered in gooey, white cheese on a squishy white bun. Dinner and drinks for under 10 bucks.

Cuzzy's Grill & Bar

It wasn't long ago that North Loop was filled with abandoned factories with just a couple of condos and office space. It's now ground zero for hipster restaurants and astronomical rents. One bar remains papered in old dollar bills, dark as a pocket and committed to getting you hammered without clearing out your savings account. For that Cuzzy's, we will always love you.

Hola Arepa

Seldom do the words "craft cocktail" and "happy hour" go together in these fine Twin Cities, but that's what happens every day at 3 p.m. inside Hola Arepa. Get a discounted arepa and a Fernet y Cola for just a few bucks every weekday except Monday.

Smack Shack

Happy hour at Smack Shack rocks you like a Hurricane - more specifically a fruity tootie cocktail that's discounted during happy hour which runs 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. They also have $2 off local and domestic taps, $4 rails and $5 glasses of wine.

Lush Food Bar

You only think you've sampled a strong drink until you've hit happy hour at a gay bar. Lush spots 3 for 1 taps and rails from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and bottomless mimosas on Sundays to pair with their impressive menu. They also just happen to have a great patio to soak in these last rays of fall sunshine.

Liquor Lyle's

The late night two from ones begin at 9 p.m. and deliver. There is nothing like the scene and being seen (possibly with double vision) in the evening at Liquor Lyle's.

Nightingale

This place caters to night owls, but they have two happy hours to suit your mood. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and again from 10 p.m. to 1 p.m. there are $2.50 tall boys, select $3 taps, $3 rail drinks and all those reasonably priced, delicious small plates to choose from. Plus, this is a bar with a beautiful menu worth drinking your way through and during happy hour, once specialty cocktail (which rotates) is just $5.
