Weekday happy hour at this Kingfield restaurant is early, early: Mon - Sat, 2 - 5 p.m. But the late-night makes up for it by starting at 9 pm (Mon - Thurs, 9 pm - midnight). Both offer $3 off tap beers (a great selection) and wine, plus a $5 grassfed hamburger or cheeseburger.

The newish Smack Shack brick n' mortar just added a happy hour menu that got multiple votes, including this very well-informed description: "The new Smack Shack at 603 N. Washington in the North Loop by far has the best happy hour! Smack wings, mahi tacos, bacon mac 'n cheese, oysters....what more could you want? Oh - discounted hurricanes - they have that too! Check it out!" Was it written by a Smack Shack employee or just a very devoted fan? We'll never know, but discounted hurricanes do sound pretty good.
