This year, the first night of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve share a date on the calendar, an event that only occurs a handful of times each century. That coincidence leads to a lot of dark restaurants, but we have scoured the cities for the spots that will have the lights on the ovens working overtime.

Whether celebrating with family or looking for solo solace, or for those who simply prefer allowing a professional do all the cooking, and cleaning up, these eateries are open on Christmas Eve and the first night of the Festival of Lights. You can enjoy a relaxing, delicious meal regardless of what you celebrate during these cold days of December.
