The 2018 Ashley Rukes Minneapolis Pride parade takes to Hennepin Avenue on Sunday June 25.to The route, that ends in Loring Park has a whole slew of restaurant and bar stops to be made along these way. These are the best picks to grab a bite and a couple of drinks from downtown to the Spoonbridge.

Mercy’s rooftop bar is hosting Minneapolis’ first party thrown by Bearracuda. The party kicks off at 9am and tickets to the bear dance party are only $12. Downstairs, the patio bar will also be open and it’s right on the parade route.

What has become ground central for drag queen brunch is throwing back its retractable rooftop for a huge Pride party. It’s standing room only and there will be drag performances plus half the ticket cost will benefit OUTFront Minnesota. The party runs from 9 am to 7 pm.

The only gay bar on the parade route is ground zero for Pride partying for the entire weekend. Sunday shenanigans get going at 8 am, cover charges don’t start until 4pm and there will be a Ferris Wheel.

Lurcat always hosts a huge party for Pride and this year is no exception. The restaurant and bar overlooking Loring Park will have a huge disco party with two dance floors, the Surly beer truck, plenty of bars and drink stations. The party goes from noon until 7pm.
